PERMACULTURE is a whole-systems method of design that offers ways we can create a more permanent culture by conscious, sustainable use of resources in all aspects of living. It considers the 'big picture' through thoughtful integration of land, water, plants, people, animals, shelter, technologies, and community. In this way, productive, self-sustaining human environments can evolve as they do in nature.

WHAT YOU WILL LEARN FROM THIS COURSE:
* Permaculture philosophy and methodology
* Observation skills and site analysis
* Natural cycles and pattern recognition
* Ponds, swales and keyline systems
* Soil building, erosion control
* Animals and their place in the system
* Edible landscaping, organic gardening
* Integrated pest management
* Agroforestry management and tree crops
* Building design and energy conservation
* Urban permaculture and village design
* Community economics
* And much more!

The WEEKEND SERIES makes this exciting training accessible and affordable for working professionals and students alike and offers its own, unique advantages.  Read "In Praise of the Weekend Design Course" by Toby Hemenway and Jude Hobbs.
